This morning was the Independence Day Kaysville Rotary 12th Annual 10K and 5K Run / 5K Walk “Run for Reading” at the Davis High School Stadium.
Six pounds eleven ounces. Nineteen inches. Born at three twenty eight. We’re all doing well.
Adelaide wasn’t allowed outside to see the proceedings and had to keep her eyes closed when the completed project was brought in and placed in front of her. I think she liked the result.
When Jill heard the news she was just ecstatic. Jill is not an emotional women (sounds contradictory, I know) but this once she was a whoopin’ and a hollerin’ all over the house.

Steven and Adelaide have purchased a foreclosed home in Layton. Jill and I helped them move in today a few hours after closing. Two of Steven’s brothers and two of his cousins were also heavily involved in the move.
Adelaide received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Technical Writing. Adelaide wore the traditional cap and gown as did 2-month old daughter Aurora.
Today at exactly 11am Adelaide gave birth to a 7lb 11oz, 21 inch baby girl. The new arrival hasn’t got a name yet (how rickety) so she is known as Baby 4110 for now, named after the number of the hospital room where Adelaide is recovering.
Today we headed over to the Kaysville 12th. Ward for Bryson’s blessing. Bryson’s relatives were there in large numbers on this happy day.
Reed Sprague graciously invited us to join in celebrating Adelaide’s 24th birthday with their extended family. We congregated at the Barnes Park Bowery on Saturday afternoon. Before we ate, the younger elements played an obscure rickety ball game that they seemed to enjoy. They worked up an appetite for the great potluck meal.
After a pleasant night’s sleep Shauna took off at 7:30am to the beach to throw down some blankets to reserve a spot. We launched the jet skis and each of us took a turn riding them.
